“EYP, diversity, and peace negotiations” 11/11/2020, 18:30CET
Cecilia Pellosniemi will be talking about how EYP experiences can help in bridging differences and ensuring diversity in UN-led peace processes.

Ms. Cecilia Pellosniemi is currently working for UN Women's Syria Programme in Beirut, supporting the UN-led political process on all issues related to gender equality and women's rights as well as grassroots dialogues inside and outside Syria. Before joining UN Women, Ms. Pellosniemi worked for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Justice and Corrections Service of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (now Department of Operations), and the UN Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH). She has also worked for the EU and has supported NGO-led mediation processes all over the world. She was active in EYP from 2003 to 2010 and has also been part of the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Parliament in 2007 and 2013.

Matas will share his personal insights related to his career in EYP Lithuania, why did he co-founded it, what kind of leadership challenges he faced and how this experience helped him in following ventures like business, or NGO Vilnius Youth Club creation.

Matas is EYP Alumnus who was involved in EYP Lithuania re-establishment, leadership, event organisation and more. After EYP Matas switched towards entrepreneurship, co-founded and is still developing a brand "WoodWe".
